The Five Stages In A Criminal Trial
According to Bohm & Hanley (2011), the stages in a criminal trial are first, the jury trials followed by the selection and swearing in of the jury. The second process, is hearing the opening statements by the prosecution and the defense attorney’s introduction of the case. Correspondingly essential, the introduction is followed by the third stage, which is the presentation of the prosecution’s case. Equally important is the fourth stage of the criminal trial, which is the presentation of the defense's case. Subsequently, the fifth stage of the criminal trail process is the submission of evidence, rebuttals and cross-examination of key witness’s affiliated with the case. Consequently, the six stage of the criminal trial is the closing arguments
