As you can see these four causes are primarily the main reason on why it happened and how it kept the Depression stronger and last so long, but the big main cause was the stock market crash. The Great Depression destroyed Americas Economy and made everybody’s life a living hell. Forcing them to live in horrible condition and live a life filled with anxiety and depression. This made people feel lost in life and a lot of people didn’t know what to do and this caused them to worry about the future. People lost their jobs and those who didn’t were prepared to lose their jobs. Companies weren’t making money, and the banks weren’t there to help the citizens out with their problem. This made people lose everything including their own homes or the places they rent.
