The Gabrielle Flores Story

When entering a new school, you meet new people, and they judge on your first appearance, they go on how you dress, what brand you’re wearing, how much you have, how you look, if you’re pretty or ugly and if you’re fat or skinny, and tall or short. This is how Gabrielle Flores story went. As a new student Gabrielle came into middle school thinking it was better than elementary, that she was going to have many friends and be popular and it would be easy, well she was wrong. It was difficult for her to make friends because she was shy and the main reason was that she was embarrassed because she didn’t have money like the other girls or boys. She dressed different from the rest of the students, she had old shoes and handy down clothes but she
She had lost weight and her friends were encouraging her to lose it even faster, they told her when you throw up right after you eat, you will never gain weight again. She knew it wasn’t healthy because she had learned that in health class that it could even get you sick. She looked at her friends confused but she did realize they were skinny and she guessed it would be faster than dieting and exercising. Right after lunch her friends took her the bathroom and showed her how do it, she didn’t like how it felt but it did make her lose weight, she didn’t that for the rest of the year and loose more than planned. Other girls, that weren’t her friends, overheard and told all the girls and boys at that school of what she was doing. Sooner or later the kids started to make fun of her of because of what she had been doing and her friends still stood by her, but the kids started to call her scarecrow and make the gaging noise every time they saw her. It got worse, she threw up so much that she had cuts on her fingers and her clothes started to fit her huge, when you looked at her you can see the bones through her skin. When she had to get dressed for P.E. she would change behind a shower curtain because she didn’t want anyone seeing how she looked under her clothes which was all skin and bones. Gabrielle of course thought she looked skinny
