her kidney and it was very life threatening. Her parents didn’t know what to think so they took her to a different doctor hoping to find out some different results. Turns out, there was nothing wrong with little Hailey. As the young lady grew older, her parents moved a lot and then they finally settled in a house in Palmyra. Around 8 years old, her parents separated and Hailey was forced to choose which parent she wanted to live with. Instead of going through all that, Hailey decided to move back and forth from her mom’s house and her dad’s house. Four years later, her parents divorced but according to Hailey, it was for the better. Hailey moved schools frequently as she got older. She had moved so many schools that running into people from all of southern Indiana and northern Kentucky was normal to her. Hailey had attended the elementary school of Corydon for quite a while. Then the search continued and the list of hometowns extended from all the way in Clarksville to a small town in Jeffersonville. She stuck with her dad most of the time after the separation so wherever he went, Hailey was surely to be found near him. With Hailey’s father, Chris, as a construction worker, he had to find an area that would include that career field. Hailey had moved from house to house hoping that they would find the perfect one to meet her standards.
Finally, all that moving was over and in fifth grade, she moved with her dad into a trailer in Taswell and was now located in the Crawford County District.
As the summer of the 6th grade year of elementary was over, Hailey’s life was about to experience a major change. Junior High. Hailey got new friends, her grades changed dramatically, and she was introduced to the life of trouble. The summer of 2013, she took a trip to Colorado. There she went to the town of Denver and attended an event called Art Night. She entered an art piece that she knew would wow the other contestants. Her father was proud to announce that Hailey had won the first place prize and that she beat the other contestants by many points. Hailey was given the opportunity to enter another event with a little more competition on the coming Tuesday night. Although that would have been a wonderful experience for Hailey, she turned that down to come home to her
family.
