The Glass Castle Analysis

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls represents permissive parenting the most, of all the different types of parenting.The Walls parents follow this style to a “T”. Permissive Parenting uses the terms “low expectations”, “nontraditional”, and “lenient”. I believe the Walls parents portray all of these qualities. When Jeannette tells us about enrolling in school, she says “We might enroll in school,but not always. Mom and Dad did most of our teaching.” The statement represents that they are more responsive than they are demanding. As well as nontraditional, usually when someone decides to homeschool their children then it is a firm decision, it isn’t traditional to move them in and out of public school when you get to tired of teaching.
