The Environmental Awareness Club (EAC) of Sekolah Menengah KebangsaanSyed Putra was formed two years ago. This club started out with only eight members in 2005 andmembership has now exceeded 30.
The EAC carried out various projects throughout the year. In February, weembarked on a project to beautify the school’s compound. We carried out a landscapingproject at the entrance of the school. For this project, all the members of the clubcontributed plants and we were able to secure some donations from the nearby nurseries.The result is, as we all have noticed, a beautiful landscape complete with a rock garden.We also launched a recycling campaign in March this year, where we encouragedthe classes to collect as many recyclable items as they could.
