The paper will also look into what makes up psychotic behavior and how it can be treated. The participant in this study is Henry because he was the character that showed the most psychotic behavior. I researched these topics by using the internet.

It is an event that is perceived and experienced as a threat to one's safety or to the stability of one's world.” (Kaneshiro, 2010, p. 1) In the movie Henry goes through a traumatic experience in which his younger brother drowns in the bathtub. This experience could have caused Henry to do the things he did. At a young age it could also lead to psychosis later in life. “Researchers have shown that experiencing traumatic events in childhood increases the risk of developing the symptoms of psychosis later in life.” (mentalhealth.org, n.d.) This might be able to explain why Henry acted the way he did. Another event that could lead to psychosis is PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a disorder that follows a very traumatic event. (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2014) Events such as death of someone you’re to, war, or terrorism or mass disaster can cause PTSD. (Laurence Knott, 2012). A way to treat the psychosis naturally is by bettering the affected person’s diet. Addressing fat imbalances, adding certain vitamins of increasing vitamins, and correcting blood sugar problems are ways that are recommended to do with the diet (“About Schizophrenia and Psychosis”, n.d.) In the movie there was never a chance for Henry to treat his behavior. However, there was the option of therapy but no one recognized his behavior. In Henry’s case it would take more than medicine to help him as he was willing to kill people. Henry would have needed a lot of therapy to combat the issues he had and even then who knows if he could have been
