It has been recently discovered that the United States of America’s female gymnastics team was sexually assaulted by their team doctor, Larry Nassar. Nassar would assault them during every single checkup or physiotherapy appointment they had. Larry had his favourite athletes and would book longer sessions with them, so he had more time to assault them. Gabby was not favoured, although she had at least one physiotherapy session per day. The first time Gabby was public about the assault was during her interview after the 2016 Olympics. Gabby mention that she and her teammates, Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, and McKayla Maroney were getting assaulted. About three months ago almost every single gymnast had come forward and said, “I am a victim, We Stand Together, WST.” Gabby and her team went to court against Larry and each of them shared their testimonies about what he did. Larry is now sentenced to an extended 175 years in jail, which means sentenced to life. Gabby is now trying to live a normal life, after all, she endured from Larry Nassar.
