The Gudeman Narrative
The car was so quiet you could hear the sound of the engine rumbling as it powered the car down the road, the car hopped over bumps, and sunk slightly into potholes. The Gudeman family stared out the window with bored, sunken eyes as the corn fields and flat empty land raced past the car window. Thankfully, the kids were silent and sleepy because of how early they had awakened to load up into the car. And Mr and Mrs Gudeman were exceedingly grateful that their children were quiet, they could drive and sip their coffee in peace. If only that was how the Gudeman family car trips were. The scent of the early summer air was strong, and the smell lingered in the damp morning. The Gudeman family trudged out of their house at four o'clock in the …show more content…
Therefore, the Gudeman reached their hotel in what you could call record breaking time. By the time they arrived at the hotel, unpacked all their belongings and found their room on the very top floor, it was pitch black outside, and everyone was ready for bed.The next morning everyone woke up ready to start the day. It was very early in the morning and the soft mist in the air made everyone a little uncomfortable. Although, the rain ponchos the family was wearing to the falls came in handy. Once they arrived at their destination, they were all shocked to see the hundreds of tourists waiting in a line that stretched all the way down the sidewalk. The Gudeman family stepped out of the car and bought their tickets to behind the falls tour. Which took the tourists behind Niagara, and extremely close the gushing torrent of water. They payed for the tour that was only 30 minutes away, so that they had some time to capture some family pictures in front of the falls. Kendra’s mom asked the worker to take a couple of pictures of them , everything was going great until a seagull flew overhead. The poop was sliding down her face while she was letting little tears roll down her face at the disgusting

Last summer my family and I saw niagara falls, we put on yellow raincoats and rode on a tour boat, maid of the mist , up the river below the falls. As the water thundered around them, the guide told them that Anna Taylor a daring schoolteacher was the first person to ever ride over Niagara Falls in a barrel. My stomach turned upside down as I imagined her plummeting over the edge. Then I thought of our own teacher going over the falls in a barrel, I laughed out…

Turning off the ignition, I heaved a sigh of relief to unwind from the nerve-wracking experience. A thought crept its way to the front of my mind, disturbing my relaxed state; I was driving. I had dreamt of this since I was a tyke in lower school, and here I was, driving myself to school. While I would assuredly enjoy the freedom driving offered, the feeling was anti-climactic. Now it was just a means of achieving a vague sense of independence. After a moment’s pause, I finally concluded that I was older. Somewhere, between here and there, I had grown up just a…
