The Holy One of Israel - Part 1
The Holy One of Israel, part 1 - - The Eternality of God
“What is the toughest experience that you have ever been through?”
A.W. Tozer
“What comes to our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us . . . I believe that there is scarcely an error in doctrine or a failure in applying Christian ethics to life that cannot be traced back finally to imperfect thoughts about God . . . If we would bring back spiritual power to our lives, we must begin to think of God more nearly as He is.”
“In the beginning, God . . .” Genesis 1:1
What God is claiming about Himself here in Genesis 1 is that He is the eternally pre-existent Being in the universe. God is the “spring” from which everything else “sprang” but God Himself “sprung” from nothing!
God simply is - - and always has been - - and always will be.
“Turn on, tune in, drop out.” Dr. Timothy Leary
Something has to be “eternal” itself before it can give “eternal life” away.
God is “eternal” - - and He gives away “eternal life” as a free gift to those who place their personal faith in
Jesus Christ and in what He did for them on the Cross.
“My sheep listen to My voice and they follow Me – and I give them eternal life.” John 10:27
“From everlasting to everlasting You are God!” Psalm 90:2

If I look as far back in the past as is possible . . .
If I look as far into the future as is possible . . .
God is there at both points simultaneously

God is not just “there” at both points - - but God is there as fully God at both points and everywhere in between! •

Time and space” define and confine all “temporal beings”
But since God is an “eternal” Being . . . “time and space” have no application to God

God made both “time and space” but God is not confined by either!
For God, past/present/future are all one big “NOW.”
God is:

“AT” the beginning of time . . .
“AT” the end of time . . .
“AT” every point in between . . .
And at every point in this

Humans are amphibians – half spirit and half animal. (The Enemy’s determination to produce such a revolting hybrid was one of the things that determined Our Father to withdraw his support from Him). As spirits they belong to the eternal world, but as animals they inhabit time. This means that while their spirits can be directed to an eternal object, their bodies, passions, and imaginations are in continual change, for to be in time means to change. – Screwtape, Chapter 8, Page 37, Lines 7 – 15.…

It is accepted that cultures of similar societal structure, environment and resources will produce similar reactions to these forces. When comparing the Antikythera Mechanism (150-100 BCE) and The Wallingofrd clock (1327-1357 AE), a separation of 1400 years, and differences in size and materials would belie any similarity outside of their link as geared astrolabes. These differences are moot, once their secondary message is examined: a message of prestige and power.…

When I read this phrase it picked up my attention right away because I am a true believer that God always help us and never is going to leave us alone but, at the same time, I believe it is our job to be smart and choose the best choice. When I was 18 years old, God opened a door so I came to United States to play Soccer and to get a scholarship. Before that opportunity, I was not very close from Christ and never went to church and read the bible very often. Being here, I meet great people, the family that I stay with help me to get closer to God and I started going every Sunday to church and reading the bible more often. Since that moment, God is more present in my life and working through my life showing me His intimate love. With Christ being in my heart, my life has grown stronger and I try to follow His way the best that I can. The NIV of Proverbs 3:5-6 states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge Him and He will make you path straight.”…

Whatever is moved must be moved by another. If that by which it is moved be itself moved, then this also must needs be moved by another and that by another mover, consequently, no other mover, seeing that subsequent movers move only inasmuch as they are moved by the first mover; as he staff moves only because it is moved by the hand. Therefore it is necessary to arrive at a first mover, moved by no other; and this everyone understands to be God. (p. 60).…

The first 39 books of the larger work called the Bible, is called the Old Testament. The Bible itself is arguably the best selling and most read book of all time, yet it’s well known to be quite challenging to read through and understand. The Old Testament portion of the Bible, notably the most difficult portion of the Bible for most to study and follow, yields 39 books from multiple authors, and spans over 4000 years of crucial world and church history. If that were not enough to take on, the Old Testament comes our way through multiple styles of authorship and formats, including but not limited to, books of history, law, proverbs, ethics, philosophy, treatises, dramas, songs, epics, biographies, and letters. There have been many books written and published to survey, explain, and/or bring to light the Old Testament, but none more helpful to me than the review subject of this paper, the work of Dr. Elmer L. Towns, entitled “A Journey Through the Old Testament”.…

    4. God is that indefinable something which we all feel but which we do not know. To me God is Truth and Love, God is ethics and morality. God is fearlessness, God is the source of light and life and yet. He is above and beyond all these. God is conscience. He is even the atheism of the atheist. He transcends speech and reason. He is a personal God to those who need His touch. He is purest essence. He simply Is to those who have faith. He is long suffering. He is patient but He is also terrible. He is the greatest democrat the world knows. He is the greatest tyrant ever known. We are not, He alone Is—YI,5-3-25, 81.…

We know that God is always with us because in the Gospel of John chapter 1:1 it tells us ( In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God). It is by reading the word that we communicate with God. God will talk to our hearts clearly and boldly from his heart. We have to just sit quietly at his presence and leave all the cares of this world behind.…
