Stuck with no way out. Caught in a circle along with many others in the same mind hood as them. In The house on mango street, a novela writen by Sandra Ciseros is about a girl named Ezsperabza. She is confused on her true identity and who she really is. The circle is an important symbol in the house on mango street, representing ways that many characters are trapped in a circle of confustion and pain.
Around and around stuck in an endless circle with no way of getting out. In There was an old woman she had so many childern she didnt know what to do, they were trying to conrol the kids , but they wouldnt calm down, so they ended up giving up. “No wonder everybody just gave up( ciseros 30).” The kids casued so many problems, some that were unfixable.After

Young Esperanza's opening thoughts in Sandra Cisneros' The House on Mango Street begins with the introduction of a surprisingly insightful disadvantaged Hispanic girl named Esperanza, who has just moved into a poor Latino neighborhood. Esperanza's opening remarks foreshadow a theme that continues to develop throughout the entire novel, cumulating piece by piece until a complete puzzle is produced.
