The map is an online, interactive tool located on the CIPD website for all HR professionals to use, it explains the specialist functions, behavioural skills and knowledge required in order for HR personnel to deliver effective support to any organisation. The map highlights 10 professional areas at four different bands and eight key behaviours HR professionals need to perform their role.
There are two core professional areas insights, strategy and solutions and Leading HR sit at the heart of the profession and are applicable to all HR professionals, regardless of role , location or stage of career ; whether inside organizations or working with them.
They underpin the direction of the profession as an applied business discipline with a people and organisation specialism, and describe how great HR professionals work for HR’s purpose – sustainable organisation performance – to be made real by using insights to create HR strategies and deliver solutions that stick, taking people with them and staying agile and innovative.
