This depletion of rainforests is a real thing, which if not sustained certainly will cause changes so drastic that the rainforests are virtually unrecoverable. As discussed earlier the deforestation of rainforests has the ability to cause, damaged oxygen cycle, no food or resources, no medicinal herbs or plants causing unknown disaster, and no more resources to build houses for out constantly growing population, this will have devastating effects on our eco-system.…
The rainforest is important in protecting our water and also in our climate control. We need the rainforests for climate control all over the world. Not just in one country but everywhere. They also help with erosion.…
The Amazon Jungle is the world’s largest tropical rainforest. It is nearly 6 million square kilometers in size and houses the widest variety of plant and animal life than any other place on the planet. It also is home to the second largest river on Earth, the Amazon River. The jungle is mostly in Brazil, but it also spreads to eight neighboring countries in South America; Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guyana. (Webmaster, “Amazon Jungle facts and history in brief”) There are believed to be around 6,000 different species of trees just in the Brazilian region of the Amazon. (Browder 247) Because of the mass amounts of plant…
Hi my name is Agent Zeek , Im a vacation travel agent, my job is to make presentation and advertise different travel packages and to promote different part of the world. During the past few weeks i been traveling to different part of the world, and the most spatacular place that caught my attention was the tropical rain forest.Tropical rainforests cover about 6% of the Earth's total land surface. They are mainly located around the belt at the equator. The climate of the rainforest is warm most of the year and has a lot of rain through most of the year. The climate is perfect for animals and plant growth. Even though the rainforests cover such a little amount of land mass of the Earth, they are home to the largest number of plant and animal species in such a concentrated area.…
There are many ways in which the rainforest is exploited. Many of these ways are damaging to the environment.…
Many species of animals live in the Amazon Rain Forest. The rain forest itself, covering nearly 40 percent of South America, contains one in every ten species known on earth (“World’s” 1). Around 500 species of mammals, 475 reptiles, and one third of the world’s birds live in the Amazon. Although they all live in the same general area, animals have different habitats, diets, and life spans. A few of the many animals are the Scarlet macaw, Anaconda, Giant Amazon River Turtle, and the Howler Monkey.…
The first insect that lives in the Tropical Rainforest is a Spider. A spider eats other insects and other spiders. The other things that eat are smaller animals such as millipedes, woodlice, small lizards, frogs and birds. Spiders get their food be injecting venom through their fangs which operates much like a pair hypodermic needles.…
One thing that they use the forest for is for shelter. They build their own houses and villages out of the items that they can find in the Rainforest. Another reason is that they use the Rainforest for its resources. They use the land for planting crops such as beans and corns. They use the river for water and they also fish in the river.…
My biome is the Rainforest. Areas with the biome rainforest are South America, Southeast Asia, Africa and Australia.…
They would harvest trees for wood so they could be able to make furnitures and paper mills. The most valuable hardwoods are mahogany and rosewood. The logging companies choose to cut down trees in the Amazon Rainforest because hardwoods are very hard to find and most are in the Amazon Rainforest. Also, there’s so much woods that they need from the forest in order to create the furnitures. Clearing the trees could also help provide clear areas for new housing and villages. Cutting down trees can benefit the world because there is access to other natural resources within the forest. In some rainforest there are iron ore, mineral, or even oil, which can be used for man’s…
Tropical savannas are related to the tropical wet and dry climate type. Savannas grow in the regions where the climax community should be some form of seasonal forest or woodland, but changed conditions or bothers prevent the setting up of those types of trees with the same climax community. The word savanna directly means plains.…
In the rainforest ecosystem, everything is connected to one another. There is an interconnectedness existing in this ecosystem. To continue to function, the ecosystem depends on the interactions between the biotic and abiotic factors. An ecosystem survives by a combination of energy flow and matter recycling. To understand the interconnectedness of the ecosystem, food webs and food chains could be observed. Each organism depends on each other to survive and maintain their populations. In the food web, there are the producers and the consumers. The producers produce their food by the sun; they are autotrophs. This is one of the main ways energy is introduced into the ecosystem from the sun to the organisms. Herbivores depend on these producers for their food and energy. Carnivores depend on the herbivores for their food and energy, and omnivores depend on the producers and consumers for their food and energy. A dependency can be seen as the organisms rely on one another for energy.…
The Amazonian Rainforest consists of an expansive 350 million square acres smack in the middle of Brazil and many other countries. It is the largest rainforest in the world and is home to hundreds of indigenous species of plants and animals. However Brazil’s developing status is endangering the rainforests existence. It is currently reported that 500,000 trees are cut down every hour, and the country is losing anywhere from 20,000 to 100,000 species a year. To many this is unacceptable and the amazon should be protected, others believe that operations should continue as is. In reality the Amazon Rainforest needs to be developed in a sustainable manner because the rainforest is home to many species and is detrimental to global health, Brazil…
