A Canadian citizen known as L.B Person created United Nations Peacekeeping.(Can Encyc, 1956) Since the Suez Crisis Canada has been on multiple peacekeeping missions, thousands of Canadians serve in those peacekeeping missions.(Can Encyc, 1956) Canada considers L.B Person a hero because he won a Nobel Peace prize.(Can Encyc, 1957) During this conflict over 2600 Canadians and other people apart of the United Nations (UN) helped out during this conflict. Later after L.B Person winning the Nobel Peace prize he then later became Prime Minister of Canada. Think about if Canada was a country where they were selfish and didn’t care about anyones lives, how would it be? Would it change dramatically? Canada’s a strong individual country where it supports other country during times where countries can’t support themselves alone, where they need help from big places for example, Canada, United states, Russia (etc).
