In this, organizations are formed to carry out these various principles and responsibilities on a large scale to have a more prevalent impact upon their communities. My life started on December 13, 1999 In Ahoskie, North Carolina. I was born at 12 p.m. As my family would tell it was a very different day for everyone. I had straight A’s and I never had a single write up. I always tried to do the best I could to get through the years and I did well until the sixth grade.…

Being a member of a sorority or fraternity can negatively impact your grades. Students that are members of a greek organization spend their average week going out more than once or twice, versus a student not associated with a greek house. A study done at Georgia College and State University by students doing a project having to do with finding the correlation between being a greek member and their GPA showed that, “Students not in a sorority or fraternity go out on an average 1 to 2 nights a week”, while students that are affiliated in a greek house “...go out on an average 3 to 4 nights a week” (Salleras). Although this study can’t prove that students would rather stay in and study it still shows that being a member of a sorority of…

But while all this is true, I know that no matter how hard I work I cannot possibly achieve all my goals and dream no matter what actions I take, at least not alone. John Quincy Adams once said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” This powerful words are extremely meaningful, especially to me. This means that if you try your hardest regularly to not only gain new knowledge, become more productive, make new goals and wonder about your future, and become a better you, no matter what circumstances you are under you are a person who will help others even unintentionally. Personally, I know it can sometimes be hard to get through the day while being alert and ready to work, but when I see someone who is dedicated to not only exceeding themselves but to make others succeed too, it makes me want to do the same. I always go out of my way to help others because that is what a real leader would do. Joining the Beta Club where each member is a leader will allow me to…
