The Importance Of Passing In Football
Passing—This is a very important part of any footballers game as every player needs to able to do it. Passing is giving possession of the ball to a team mate using the feet, head, chest, etc. This skill can be carried out using both the side foot or the laces. You would have your body opened out and head up towards the direction you want the pass to go, then you would place your plant foot next to the ball and follow through with your other foot to hit the ball to a team mate. To perform passes successfully you simply have to be successful in getting the ball to a team mate without losing possession. This is an important skill in football because for a team to be able to function properly they need to pass successfully.

The soccer kick is the essence of association football (soccer). This move is performed in every single game of football all over the world, whether it’s professional or amateur. There are two main ways of classifying kicks in soccer; the free kick and kicks in general play. The free kick occurs when a player impedes one of the laws of the game and the opposing team are therefore awarded a ‘free kick’ without the other team touching the ball and must be a certain distance away from the ball and the player who is kicking it. The kicks in general play are very OPEN skills as there are countless different scenarios when it comes to the soccer pitch. The free kick is somewhat CLOSED because of the ball being stationary on the ground however the distance and environment is still very unpredictable. The soccer kick is a GROSS MOTOR skill as I will show further in the report almost all the muscle groups will be utilised and activated. The soccer kick is also a SERIAL skill; the run up, striking of the ball and follow through all come into play.…

One of the most important parts of pass blocking is keeping your head out of the block. Keeping your head into a pass block could result in the defensive player whether that is linebacker or defensive lineman jerking you forward or using a move to get off the block. Another skill is keeping a wide base with your knees in slightly because you get all of your power from the inside. Pass blocking also comprises kick sliding. Kick sliding is where you kick your left or right foot back, depending on which side of the ball you are on, and sliding the other foot back, while keeping a wide base. When you are on the right side of the ball you have to kick the right foot back and vice versa. The last step to pass blocking is to keep your hands about two inches away from your chest that way you can punch the opposing side to keep them away from the…

Another step to learning to play soccer is having good ball control. In soccer, ball control is everything; you will never be a good soccer player if you do not learn to control the ball. Learning to control the ball will be one of the most difficult tasks you will encounter while learning to play soccer. It will also be time consuming, but you must be patient and dedicated because this is an arduous objective. When you are approaching this feat I recommend juggling the ball, which is maintaining the ball in the air for as long as possible. This exercise will help you trap the ball when you are in a game. For example, players sometimes kick the ball away from the danger zone, so if the ball goes to you, you must trap the ball. If you do not trap those balls in the air you will pretty much be the laughing…
