The Importance Of Raising The Military Budget
Our military budget has been a huge argument for the presidential candidates and people who support them. Many think we need to lower the budget, so we can spend some of the money on more and better things, but also many think we need to raise the budget for a better advanced and successful military. This is why the military budget has been such a big argument because it is a big thing for this upcoming election . The U.S needs to raise the military budget for many reasons.
In the news article “Bomb Voyage” by Tom Collina and Will Saetren, It says that the United states has the highest paid military in the world. The U.S spends 875 billion on the military including veterans’ affairs. With what is going on in this world it’s like we need to raise the military budget because we could be getting in a war and we wouldn't even know it. Our military wants to get with the newer technology and start rebuilding and maintain our nuclear arsenal. Along with the Air Force they want to build 100 newer planes that cost 550 million each just so we could get farther on the technology.
In the next 30 years the U.S is planning on spending 1 trillion dollars to maintain the nuclear arsenal. If the budget doesn't go up then how are they going to do this. Another thing the military can do with the money …show more content…
they get is get better technology for weapons, computers, etc. There is just so much the military can spend the money on. Our troops are a little underpaid and deserve more money because they put their lives on the line everyday.
In the news article “Ready To Cut Military Spendings” by Scott Rasmussen, It states that many people do think that if we do have one of the best militaries then why spend so much on it every year.
People have said that if we cut the military budget in half we could put that money towards things that could also help the country and the military. For the past 25 years there has been no army, navy, or air force in the world that comes close to matching its American counterpart in terms of either its powerness on the battlefield or the size of its budget. We should keep it that way and continue to spend quite a bit on the military. Without a military this country wouldn't be how it is
now.
The U.S government should raise the budget just a little higher every year just so the military can get what it needs. There is more things the military needs to do to keep it one of the best. Without a good military the United States wouldn't even be like how it is now.
