Some more issues that elders have face at this stage are-
The first thing that comes to mind, is that they become off balanced. And often need a cane or a walker …show more content…
to keep themselves stabilized. Nothing is worse than for them to take a fall, being off balanced, and breaking a hip. It takes forever to heal from. And so often the person becomes depressed and anxious to be well and they often don't heal right, so never walk again.
Instead, they stay in a wheelchair. Another problem, is that often they are taken advantage of, by quick talking, con artists at their door. And they can be taken in and sign checks that put them into arrears at their banks. I knew of an insurance company branch, that sent their salesmen out twice a month to collect the premiums. And the elderly would not remember they'ed already paid their monthly bill. Memory loss is next for the elderly often don't remember doing or saying the same things they did earlier. So it's up to the person they spoke to, to remind them that they already spoke on the samd subject earlier.
One last problem, is having to give up a lot of foods that they used to enjoy. Either it's due to ill fitting false teeth, or they arern't able to disgust some foods they did when they were younger.
Eating corn on the cob can be a challenge when your teeth slip up and down. So it is not a pretty sight.
I almost forgot, one major problem occurs when the elderly have to give up driving their cars, due to poor judgment or not being able to sit high enough to see over the dashboard.
Sometimes we'll see a car on the freeway, with a little head bobbing around in the front
seat.
And nine times out of ten, it will be a senior citizen trying to see well enough to drive.
My grandfather engaged his self in music. They have a harmonium and play songs on it for one hour daily. They lived a very happy life with his family. My grandmother also engaged in spiritual activities. She daily went to temples and discussed all religious believes. Result is all my cousins and I have a healthy family. So keep your elders with you and get free from all troubles.

Poor elders do not have their home. Sometimes they beg for one piece of bread. But however they bless them who gave him bread or do not give him or her bread. So elders whether they are poor or rich only know to give.
