This is the belief that after the priest blesses the bread and wine of communion, it becomes the literal body and blood of Christ. This could not more incorrect! Christ, at the Last Supper, did not literally feed the disciples of His own flesh and blood. Rather, it was a symbol through which there would be a solemn time of remembrance regarding what Christ had sacrificed for man’s salvation. They hold to the belief of a works salvation. They teach that one must live a good life in order to be saved. Although they teach that faith is important, they believe that works are the essential part of the salvation plan. Works salvation stands in direct contradiction to the Bible. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Salvation is wholly of grace, and it is not based on how well we live our lives! God is no respecter of persons. Our works are irrelevant, because our righteousness is “as filthy rags” to God! Salvation can only occur when one puts his faith and trust in Christ alone to save
