I recently conducted interviews with three soldiers of the United States Army pertaining to their views of the Cold War between the United States and The Soviet Union. The information I collected from the soldiers helped me prepare a special in-depth view of event told directly from their opinion of the events.
The popular belief is that the cold war stared as soon as the Germans were defeated in WWII on 8 May 1945(Giangrecco 2009, pp32-34), however some Military Intelligence specialists and history buffs believe that the Cold War began on August 6th, 1945 when American Airmen Dropped Little Boy on the city of Hiroshima. …show more content…
Answers I received was a simple capitalism and communism from the late 1940’s to the early 90’s with the capitalist being the United States and the communist being the Soviet Union with the Russian wanting to rule the world and destroy the American way of life.
