going to get help first. This is a huge twist in emotions. In the beginning, they wanted to kill each other and now they want to become friends. As they are stuck underneath the tree. Georg is threatening Urlich that if his men come they will roll the tree on top of him and vice versa. This is suspenseful because Ulrich said his men will come in ten minutes. As a reader, you don’t know how will come first to kill their enemy. This gives us clues that they will do anything to kill each other and have the land. The hatred that each man has for each other is very real and takes up a huge part of their lives.
When Ulrich hears the sound and thinks that they are Georg men. George then defines and soon Ulrich denies it his men too. Then Ulrich realizing they are wolves. This is a very tragic because they can’t move and are helpless even though they had guns. This becomes very sad because they just made up and become friends. They finally end the long standing feud between the families and no one got to see that they made up. Now instead of going home and having a new friend, they are killed by wolves.
In the end of “The Interlopers” by Saki, has a big lesson in the story. The pot helps you get the full effect of that the author intends to do. The pot helps you understand the feud between the neighbors and then their friendship. Even though the story ended tragically, this tells us that we must set our differences beside because you never know when it too late.
