Paper was made by drying pulp on screens.
Paper changed the way people recorded important events and stories. In addition paper made it easier to keep people posted on laws threw out an empire. The invention of paper made communication easier for everyone.
Paper did not only help communication easier,
it made religious books and philosopher books be able to be mass produced and spread religion and philosophy. One more thing paper did was be able to make paper money for trade and other purposes. Mass production of books and paper money helped educate the world and allow for cheaper currency (doc 2‐6).
Another major contribution developed by the Roman Empire is the induction of the rules of law and justice, and the five principles. One law developed by the Romans that is still used today is “A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.” This law shows that everyone has a fair chance at freedom and justice. In addition, another saying, “Decisions must be based on fairness,” shows that Romans believe in the truth and the truth helps make the world a better place. Early judgment and fairness still may have been mistaken today if the Romans did not establish a fair law. “Guilt must be clearly established.” This principle makes sure that someone is not committed due to bad reputation and is treated as if he innocent. One more principle,” People are equal under the law,” means it doesn’t matter what color, class, or rank you are, you are equal to everyone.
Being equal and true prosecution were two more important things because during segregation we did not follow this and the
Romans helped us see the truth. Judgment, fairness, being equal, and true prosecution all helped to develop a good system in the United
States today(Doc 2‐4).
Incans changed the world by one simple concept; building a road. The development of roads by the Incas made things easier to be transported. Therefore, a more variety of items and bigger items could be transported to farther empires. Also, if roads could support the weight of vehicles then the material could be used to make stronger buildings. The ability to transport thing by land helped cultural diffusion take place and spread ideas to cultures. In addition, roads always led to something so if someone was lost or needed help they could get to a village quickly. Roads helped for more comfortable traveling; therefore, people could commute to places more efficiently. A comfortable person is a happy person and a government always wants a happy empire. Today we have more advanced road systems, but it all came from the Incas road system. Even though their system was developed thousand of years ago it s still effective today(doc 2‐5). The most important contribution by empires I think is the development of a system of writing. Mesopotamia developed writing to be able to communicate with different cultures though out and empire. Writing also gave a way
to communicate without the enemy knowing.
Being able to communicate secretly and threw different cultures has helped us develop are form of writing(Carlos). Writing made laws and other things easy to understand for everyone.
Without writing pacts and agreements would not have been able to be possible because two different empires would not be able to communicate with one another(Hamilton).
Writing helped education and acceptance of other empires(Doc 2‐2). Thousand of years ago empires thought of many things that may have changed the way we live forever. Paper helped change how we communicate, the roman justice code and principals showed us fairness and being equal.
Incas road system helped make traveling easier and the invention of a writing system helped different cultures communicate. There are still many other contributions from empires, but these four are the most important in my opinion. Works Cited
