In The Sacred Quest sacredness is defined as something being set apart from the rest of the world, where humans have no control over what happens, has respect of human welfare and constructive for human existence. First off Jedi’s do not set themselves apart from the rest of the world. They do not isolate themselves and try to do better just for themselves; but they try to improve overall life. The Jedi’s main goal is to promote peace, justice, love, learning and generosity. That cannot be promoted without going out and attempting to help make peoples lives well off. They do not believe that humans do not have control over what happens because they do not believe that there is an almighty being. They believe that if they follow the teachings of the Jedi that they can promote peace and love among all human beings. Jediism does have respect for human welfare; it is basically the main point of their religion.
