The Lamentation by Giorgio Vasari is a 6’3/4” X 6’ 7/8” fresco located in the Arena Chapel in Padua. It was created around 1305 to 1306 by Giorgio Vasari. The painting depicts the final farewell between the deceased Jesus Christ, and his mother and friends. In fact, the Lamentation is one of Giorgio Vasari’s most memorable pieces of work. His depiction of the Lamentation was truly revolutionary for his time.
