The Logical Fallacies In The Article By Michelle Malkin
The logical Fallacies in the article is immense. Within the article by Michelle Malkin, there were not a lot of information to back up the supposed facts. Malkin’s article seems to target towards right-wing conservatives or the “undecided” demographic. By appealing to them, Malkin’s used different logical fallacies and slander to attack the image towards the president and others at the time. In doing so, it can give people the wrong information or impression on the targeted persons in the reading.

One of the fallacies used is the Ad Misericordiam. Malkin has used words and phrases that made it seem like Obama was a bully. She has used phrases like “Barack Obama's election-year goon squad kicked into high gear this week by kicking the president's fiercest opponents in the teeth and targeting their pocketbooks.” This made the opponents seem like victims by making the viewer feel pity for them without having thorough evidence to make this claim true. Without any evidence, it just becomes a ploy to sully the image of the president. Malkin used words that can hurt the image of the president and attack. For example, Malkin states, “Returning to bully business as usual, the Obama campaign launched a

Michelle tried to divert the subject or add to the reasonings on why Obama is not a good president. She had stated, “Oh, and remember this? In 2008, St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch and St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, both Obama promoters, threatened to bring criminal libel charges against anyone who spread what they considered ‘false criticisms’ of their Dear Leader.” While going further in research of this claim, it seems that her statement was indeed a rumor. What happened was a St. Louis Sheriff and a state attorney, who supposedly called themselves the Truth Squad, went to KMOV-TV to debunk any false rumors about Obama during the 2008 election. Thus, beginning the

The first fallacy I noticed is that Kane is claiming to be a friend of the working man and lower class. The second is the claim that Kane has already won the campaign for Governor, and the campaign has not even started yet, which is a fallacy of false conclusion. The continued attacks on Jim Gettys are an ad hominen fallacy, because the attacks are towards Gettys not the argument at hand. The next fallacy I noticed is a…

In my opinion this article was written with bias-based and under the groupthink fallacy. This is a typical stance for the FOX network and their staff. The author is suggests that everyone in the country is upset by the president 's choice. There is certainly an agenda in this article. There is also an undertone of Nationalism within the article because of the condition of…

Not only is this post full of grammatical errors, false facts and allegations, it's also very poorly constructed. For any American whom believes this post to be true is as unintelegant as the one it was constructed by. Smear complains are made to make the bad choices seem socially acceptable to vote for. It makes me sad knowing the only way to win is to bring out an evil unmatched, scaring the masses into changing their beliefs of…

Obama was criticized for comments in the summer where he said in Roanoke, Virginia in July: "If you are successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business, you didn't build…

On June 16th at his very own Trump Tower in New York City, Donald Trump announced that he would be running for president. It was only thirty seconds into his speech when Trump committed his first fallacy. In an attempt to insult the intelligence of his fellow GOP candidates, he compared their incompetence toward air conditioners to their supposed inability to beat ISIS. “They didn’t know the air-conditioner didn’t work,” “How are they going to beat ISIS?” This is a bad example fallacy due to his use of an example that fails to prove the conclusion and has little connection to it. Despite the complete lack of relation between Trump’s example and his conclusion, he was still able to provoke the audience into feelings of contempt toward the other…

The examples of bias are: The working man and the slum child are a gender bias. Kane is only pointing out that men are the only ones working and that all the children are slum. Kane makes a statement about “the decent, ordinary citizens know that I’ll do everything in my power to protect the underprivileged, the underpaid, and the underfed.” I feel this could be a begging the question fallacy; it is as if he is saying that the underprivileged, the underpaid, and the underfed are not the decent, ordinary citizen he is talking about. Kane goes and does an ad hominen fallacy when he starts attacking Boss Jim W. Gettys by calling him dishonest and a downright villainy. I think the campaigner…

Contradictory diction is used throughout the Op-Ed to describe how living in the moment has positive effects, as well as negative effects. In her Op-Ed, Elizabeth Kadetsky uses words such as “enormous, expansive, euphoria.” They are used to describe how a person who lives each moment at the time it occurs is feeling as they live in that moment. People living in the moment feel pleasure, immense happiness, and they feel free. They feel as if they are more open to the world rather than closed off.…

It was a competitive election for Barack Obama and John McCain. This election would determine the fate of many lives during the economic downfall that the United States was facing. In 2008, Michelle Obama spoke at the Democratic Convention about her husband Barack Obama. The election was Barack Obama against John McCain. The well known woman wanted to bring attention to how her husband is a strong leader. She uses strategies like pathos through imagery, repetition, and language to persuade the American people to vote for her husband to become the next president of the United States.…

A good leader is someone who constantly is honest with the people who he or she is surrounded by. A leader who is educated is able to evaluate other people's skills to have the ability to achieve their ideal goals. As many of us know, Barack Obama was the first African American United States President in the United States' history. I remember it was 2010 when Obama established a healthcare system called Obamacare. Obama is considered a good leader by continuously being plausible and an attentive person for almost eight years. Not only is he an attentive worker, but Barack also does other things to help our nation, such as visiting other countries around the globe. Obama uses humor in his speeches…
