Did you know that pigs are the 3rd smartest animal alongside dolphins and chimpanzees? The story of The Three Little pigs is about three pigs who were set off on their own into the world. All three build their homes one by one. They encounter a wolf who tries to capture each pig individually. The first two pigs built separate homes that were not very stable, so the wolf destroyed the homes and eats those pigs. The wolf is mostly successful except when he encounters the third pig who has built a brick house. The wolf tries to trick the little pig to get him out of his home. The wolf is persistent in this goal, but in the end, it’s no use. The pig lures the wolf into a boiling pot of water and eats him in the end. Due to these actions, the third pig is the most admirable of the three. The third pig is the most admirable because he is clever, ambitious and hardworking.…

“Pig the Fibber” is part of a series of “Pig the Pug” written and illustrated by Australian author, Aaron Blabey published in 2015. In this humourous picture book, the main character, Pig the pug, behaves badly and tells fibs. His loyal ‘long’ suffering friend, Trevor, a sausage dog is blamed for Pig’s lies and misconduct. This story has a moral and is a good lesson for young readers, as in the end all the bad behaviour catches up with Pig. The illustration on the front cover draws the reader in with a simple illustration of a defiant looking Pug with mischievous exaggerated bulging eyes and red crayon nonchalantly resting on his bottom lip. The text “Pig the Pug” in black print has been altered by Pig and his red crayon he has crossed out…

Pignati was the nicest man one could be, and it probably explains why he took John and Lorraine to the market, and bought them whatever they wanted. Among these were a pair of roller skates for all three of them, and they skated out wearing them as an infantile person would. While these skates seemed all fun and games at the moment, they were not. Just a few days after buying the skates, John, Lorraine, and Mr. Pignati were playing a game of skate tag. The rules were to not allow anyone to go upstairs in their skates during the game; however, John being the antagonistic player that he was did not follow the rules. He went up the stairs and Mr. Pignati chased after him. At this moment, Mr. Pignati suffered from a heart attack. Lorraine was mortified, but John somehow kept his cool and called the police. An ambulance to Mr. Pignati to the hospital where he stayed about a week. This was when Lorraine had the nightmare. This was no mundane nightmare however. It was about Mr. Pignati and his beloved glass pigs that his deceased wife had collected over the years. A silhouette of some sort was forcing Lorraine to enter Mr. Pignati’s room of pigs. There she found a coffin, and she knew Conchetta was in their. This nightmare seemed to symbolize death to Lorraine, but she wasn’t quite sure of the death of whom or…

    Eulogy of Piggy

Piggy was a thinker, the smartest kid I’ve ever known. It’s ironic to think that of all the boys, I knew Piggy the most and I do not even know his real name. I hurt’s me to think that I did not realize Piggy’s intelligence until it was almost too late. When we first met I laughed at him and teased him. If I could go back to that first time we met I would have probably still laughed at his confession of being teased as Piggy, but I would still want to know his name. Unfortunately, I will probably never know his true name, and even if I do I will never be able to call him by it. All the time on the island I really took Piggy for granted, his thoughts, his opinions. In the back of my mind I thought they would always be there, how wrong I was to think. I remember that first day clearly, it was far before most of us had spiraled out of control. While we were still innocent and naive. Piggy had seen me and he was the first boy I met on the island. We walked along the beach and found the conch shell that soon came to symbolize our new found society. Piggy had to tell me how to use it because of his asthma. He was the only boy at school with asthma and specs. I guess Piggy was always different from everyone else. Using the conch as he told me I blew and thus a meeting was called, the first meeting. The meeting was anything but organized, yet there was Piggy taking people’s names, the only one smart enough to think of knowing how many of us there were. But even he didn’t get that far, I didn’t give him the chance too. Later on when we set a bunch of dead wood on fire using Piggy’s specs and when Piggy noticed one of the younger boys or litluns was missing, I acted uninterested though deep down I knew I had failed that boy as chief. Piggy cared though, he made sure we were all clear on that, maybe he felt guilty as it was his specs to light the flame. But whenever he had tried to make things heard he was always opposed, mainly by Jack and even myself at times. I think that…

The three little pigs were beyond devastated when the big bad wolf tromped through their neighborhood, blowing down their little houses one by one. He left the first little pig facedown in a pile of straw that used to be his home. The second pig was left buried in a heap of sticks. And the third, crying, sat atop a pile of bricks. Their little pink faces flushed red in anger as they came together, sitting in a circle as they tried to decide what to do next.…
