amazing human man named Akinli. But, the thing is, the Sirens aren't allowed to physically talk to any humans. Some important characters in this book are Kahlen, Akinli, the Ocean, Elizabeth, and Marylin. Kahlen likes going to the Ocean to relax and clear her mind. Whenever the Ocean takes them somewhere, like to a friend’s house underwater, She dresses them in astonishing dresses that are different colors each time. I believe that the theme of The Siren is be careful what you wish for. I think that being careful for what you wish for is the theme because when Kahlen jumped into the water to die, she wished to be saved and said that she didn't want to die. So, the Ocean saved her. When she was being brought up from the water by the other Sirens at the time, the first thing they asked her was, “You wished to be saved, right?” Of course, Kahlen replied back yes. The hardest part was leaving her family for 100 years. She felt bad for not dying when she should've, just like her parents. I recommend this book for anybody who loves to read romance or fantasy, it's a great book with both in it! I rate this book a 5/5 stars. I absolutely loved the plot and all of the twists and turns throughout the book! This book was definitely one of my favorites and always will be.
