The Modern Family Show
In this decal we take a look at the state of family in the U.S. by applying these ideas to a popular sitcom -- we take a look at the Modern Family show as an example of how various communities and families function in a larger societal context; we first examine psychological factors that influence human behavior. Second, we overview some of the public policies in the 20th century. Third, we discuss contemporary social issues and their impact on different communities.
This is the fourth -- and possibly the last -- semester of the Modern Family decal. Please note that this course is not discussion-based and does not include many assignments, so it is important that students attend the weekly lectures throughout the semester. Please come to our
info session (Thursday 8/31 -- 50 Birge) or email me if you have any questions.
