Donald Trump are afraid of illegal immigrants taking our jobs and believe that they are just freeloaders that come to the United States to use the Americans resources. I’m not saying that there are not couple of them who use Americans resources and don’t do anything to help the country and economic. But most of them came to the United States to get a better life and/or provide for their family.
Every day, hundreds of immigrants legal and illegal, come from around the globe to the United States to work for the American Dream. To have the freedom of being or saying anything that person wants, having the opportunity to be success in life. The U.S immigrant population stood at more than 42.4 million, or 13.3% of the total U.S population 318.9 million in 2014, according to ACS data. In 2014, Mexican immigrants made approximately 28% of the 42.4 million immigrants making them the largest group in the country. Next was India then China then Philippines making about 5% each. El Salvador, Vietnam, Cuba, and Korea making 3% each, as well as the Dominican Republic and Guatemala making 2% . Together making 60% of the U.S immigrant population in 2014. Only 26% of the overall U.S populations are illegal immigrants. (Jie Zong and Jeanne Batalova) In New York, there is only been accounted 3.8% of illegal immigrants in the population of the state or about 750,000 in 2012 (Jerry Shaw) .
Immigration has both negative and positive impacts in today's economy.
Wages for low-skilled workers go down and we pay lowers prices for things like restaurants, meals, agricultural produce and construction. Since undocumented workers generally don't pay income taxes but use government services, they are seen as burden the tax payer money. Many economists generally agree that when averaged over the whole economy, the effect is a small net positive. Harvard’s George Borjas says “The average American’s wealth is increases by less than 1% because of illegal immigration” (Adam Davidson) . In 2016 there is an estimated population of 322,762,018 according to an end-of year estimate from the U.S Census Bureau, meaning that more than 320 million Americans have an increase of 1% in their wealth. Illegal immigrants are making Americans more money by coming to this country and working that not coming to this country. Immigrants only are taking jobs that Americans don’t want to do. For example maids and housekeepers, taxi drivers and chauffeurs, construction laborers, janitors and porters, bellhops, and concierges (Steven A. Camarota and Karen Zeigler). There are many industries that have unauthorized immigrants. Leisure & Hospitality, Manufacturing and Construction are the top industries. Jacob Vigdor professor of public policy and economics at Duke University shared that each new immigration has boosts home value by 11.6 cents. (Vigdor). making the government build new housing for them. On the supply side, immigrant labor is crucial to the construction worker force because they make 25% of all construction workers. Immigrants’ growing part in the supplying construction labor and demanding new housing units for them is an important contributor to United States economic wealth. (Graham). If we have immigrants that come to the U.S.A needing new homes, spending their money here, we are building our economic back again.
Everyone have the right to go to any country to work for a better life and that is not hurting none.
But people believe that illegal immigrants are taking away over jobs, homes husband/wife and etc. But they are not. They work hard and sometimes harder that some people that were born in this country to receive a better life that they had in their own country. Immigration impact people in the United States because every time we have a deportation for an illegal immigration is very costly, we have to feed, give them shelter and transport that person back to their home country and that is more than having them in the country working to gain they own income. Which is better for the country economic. The government is wasting the tax payer money on people who wants to work to have a better life for themselves or for the family here or on the birth country. The government is spending $10,070.00 per person, for a total of $114 billion to just remove 11.3 million people from the United States.

Immigration is slowing growing for the United States, according to the latest Census Bureau. Native-born population is slowing declining making immigrants come to this country and helping make the economic strong again. (Abigail Kamp). Each year immigrants are taking the citizenship oath to defend the Constitution and the laws of United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. They will fight against their own birth country to support and defend this one in the Armed Forces of the United States. So why we should kick them out of this country when we “don’t need them”. They work hard to come to this country. The want to have a better life and they believe that the U.S.A is going to provide them with that. So why not, we should help them the same way they are helping us by making our economic better. We need both Americans and Illegal immigrants to make our future brighter for our great nation. By education, union, worker training, enforcing and reforming of the immigration system, American can actually compete globally with other countries.
