Motivation
Have you ever had someone you look up to for everything, or someone who has been a big influence in your life? My brother has always been there for me through thick and thin, he has always given me someone to look up to, and he has always been very influential and motivational towards me. My brother motivates and influences in me in a way that is not very common to others, but I believe that has made me who I am today.
When I was growing up I had a very serious lung infection, and many of the doctors believed that I wouldn’t make it. I lost a lot of weight as a young child and was very unhealthy for a long time. But, I made it through, and I eventually started to get my eating and protein levels back to normal. After a while, I got into a habit of overeating because it seemed natural to me and I started to gain weight.
Gaining the weight for me was useful for my freshman year when I started wrestling. I wasn’t successful at first, until my brother started helping me try to lose the weight. But he didn’t only help me by taking me to the gym and helping me push through the cardio, or even helping me lift weights. The thing that he did that helped me the most was call me names and put me down and tell me I wasn’t good enough. This may seem very harsh, but by my sophomore year in high school wrestling, I was very well built and very strong. I even took second in state!
My brother helped me to lose the weight to help me become the person I wanted to be. He helped motivate me to push myself through any obstacle and be strong even when someone is pushing you down. He taught me to never give up on myself or things that I’m doing, and I believe that’s why I am who I am today. My brother has made me into a person I love and I have and always will look up to him for how he helped change my life, even if it may have hurt my feelings or made me sad or depressed, he has made me into a very strong person. I am told that I have the best work ethic
