The problem with all of that is that it goes against the rights on The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In the document one of the article’s (article 5)
stats that no one should be tortured or be put through inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. North Korea should incorporate this part of the document into their society. The reasoning behind this is that not only would everyone have better living conditions they would also be able to become well educated because of better living conditions which would increase the overall performance of the country. This falls under the right because this is seen as cruel and inhuman treatment. The first thing that would change if they incorporate the right into the country’s society is the living conditions. Better living conditions mean a better society and better society means better education. The better the education in the country the better the status of the country would go up. Such as the people of the country would be able to learn and train to become better educated and be able to fill jobs that would help the society grow stronger such as doctors to be able to take care of the sick. This would be good for the country because it could turn this low life third world country with millions dying from starvation and living conditions, to a thriving first world country being self-sufficient. The second thing that would change is the morality of the people. If the morality of the people is higher they would have more motivation to go to work and help the country flourish with more goods that they could than export which in turn would bring the country even more money to then better the conditions of North Korea. With all the money earned, it could be turned into better research into even more technology that could put North Korea ahead of the rest of the world. Being ahead of the rest of the world could potentially help the economy of North Korea become even better, because the lower countries would than want to join and help North Korea such as helping them with exports and as exchange of knowledge. Another article they could incorporate into the country of North Korea could be article 13. The article 13 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights talks about the freedom of movement within the country and being able to leave and come back to the country freely. But North Korea has very strict laws about the movement within the country and in and out of the country. If you are caught trying to flee from North Korea that is grounds for the person to be executed. This is wrong if someone wants to leave they should be able to. To even be able to visit the country of North Korea you are put under constant watch.
