They have been many clams to whether or not Christopher Columbus is a hero or a villain. Due to the elementary schools around the country telling the good things about Columbus. Well there are also many bad actions that not many people know of.
Christopher Columbus was a man of many talents. As a young man he became very dedicated to the sea. He sailed with his brothers and father on small voyages as a young man. As he got older one of his first jobs was making and selling maps to sailors. (Puerto Ricco world history) When he had once become a man he wanted to look for many riches and valued materials. (Neil Schlager and Josh Lauer) This in fact had started to make him greedy. After many years he became known as one of the best navigators of the sea. He was known for navigating with the stars. Once he had become greatly known for his navigation and sailing skills. He decided that he wanted to sail west all the way around the world to Asia. Which he would try to bring back different types of riches back to Europe. But at that time many people thought that the earth was flat.
