Immigration is the multinational movement of people into destination states where they are not citizens and are no native. Before a migrant gets a chance to settle in their new homes and permanent residence they need to take up employment as temporary workers. When people get an opportunity to cross a national border, referred to as immigrants or migrants from the perception of the individuals that belong to the country they have moved. Emigrants, on the other hand, refer to people who moved from their country to another are search of a better life.
However as the president of the United States I would legalize people especially those who have moved to our country because they were escaping a natural disaster or war. Immigration has its limitations, and there laws and policies that put to minimize the rate of the migrants especially in the United States. People have always resisted the movement of individuals to their countries for that corrupts their society and livelihood as a whole. There are cases where people destroy property in their demonstration against immigration. However as a social scientist agree on the immigration effects and think that the policies revised and made favorable to everyone. Immigration should not be stopped but allowed by offering permits to discourage illegal immigration whose effects are more adverse. A lot of people tend to welcome strangers in their country not, and the good and services provided by the government has a bad bargain for taxpayers. Although the effect of immigration nowadays is linked to terrorism, the fatal effects of migration fall on the government spending and provision of infrastructures. Lastly, the migration issue should be dealt with imposition of fair quotas which protect the citizens’ welfare in the receiving countries and the benefits of having more people in the recipient
