The word Indigenous means having a connection to a particular land, animal, or plant. Indigenous religions can be seen in small groups, yet, there would be copious amounts of these small groups. Indigenous religions can be proclaimed as ‘root religions’, they are native, and are not based off another religion. Indigenous religions strongly place confidence in their native language, the strength of their kinship, beliefs in deities and / or spirits, respect towards their past ancestors, connection with the homeland and in the systems which they have built in order to survive. Each new day, was a chance to please their Gods, another shot at being promoted to higher ranks. The Pharaoh was believed to be a two way communication between the Gods and the people. The Egyptian folk would struggle in their journey of delighting the Gods. According to touregypt.net, ‘It was easier to anger the Gods, than please them.’ When sacrifices were made, they were most commonly dipped in the river Nile as the river was of great importance. The Nile river was the most sacred area in Egypt. The Egyptian faith began on the Nile. This river was where the faith of the Egyptians eventuated. The genesis of Egyptian faith. Ancient religions like Roman, Greek, and Egyptian were similar. Their belief in life after death was considered to be corresponding. The Egyptians preserved the dead body, after removing all organs, and any other part they thought to be deceased. This process was termed as ‘mummification’. They would swaddle the body with bandages continuously, creating many layers on the body. The body was then placed with important items, that they would need in their afterlife. Mummification for Pharaohs was a larger process. The tomb in which the Pharaoh was placed would be replete with jewels and
