The Pros And Cons Of Reducing Gun Violence

If I was provided the authority to reduce gun violence I would make it an appoint to make everyone who were trying to purchase a gun complete a background check. This way you have a track record of the person who’s attempting to purchase some of the most dangerous weapons. I would also make sure anyone who is suffering from mental illness also become flagged in my background system. Make sure that all gun stores and licensed weapons are passed on to law enforcement when lost or stolen. These mass shooting are occurring mainly due to mental illnesses of the deranged suspects. People who were war veterans and came home mentally ill and unstable have snapped. These type of individuals have easy access to dangerous weapons.
The pros to gun control
is a decrease in mass shooting committed by people who are diagnosed as mentally unstable. Saving the lives of innocent children and adults. Decreasing the amounts of racial profiling, personal vendettas and suicides.
The cons to gun control are people will have less power according to the constitution and the right to bear arms. If the government takes away the people’s power this will create more hate for the government and people will possible start more violent protesting. They will not have the freedom and easy access to protect them self if need be. Crimes would increase if criminals know people are less likely to own a firearm.
