The Purest Form Summary

In the passage "The Purest Form", the author introduces modern ninjutsu as an art that "focuses on teaching different methods of self-defense"(paragraph, 3) to a wide range of people. However, the modern ninjutsu is far away from my assumptions about ninjutsu. Unlike most people's imagination about ninjutsu is "people kicking at each other while yelling"(paragraph, 1) , my assumption is totally about ancient Japanese ninjutsu. Personally, before reading the passage, I believed that ninjutsu was all the rules that ancient Japanese ninja must obey. This group of young men were hired by a lord. They had to train diligently and learn an enormous number of unique skills in day time, such as throwing darts and hiding on roofs safely. In the midnight,
