ABSTRACT
Autonomous learning is learning that focuses on the activities of students, either individually or in groups by providing the broadest possible autonomy in choosing the substance to be studied, the method in the study, as well as the source of learning. Autonomous learning process is very beneficial to students individually or in groups, because students can choose the material and choose the learning material according to student ability. Autonomous learning has an autonomous nature of learning for students. For example, lecturers only as a facilitator and every student who will determine the learning process according to the ability of each student. In this paper, the researcher will do a survey about the readiness of the student in English education department to face the autonomous learning. The researcher thinks that this system is very useful for students in this university. So, we can look the result of survey in the end of this paper.
