Feeding the redneck’s different farm animals in the barn was a lot more palatable to the younger man then the daily mucking out of their stalls. But, he had to do it. He had to get in good with the redneck. The younger man thought and planned constantly as he wheel-barrowed the day’s shit back and forth, to the larger compost pile, that the redneck had made by the side of the barn, away from being downwind.

He had to finally eat all of his meals in the big house. He had to find out the older man’s Social Security number. The younger man had enough knowledge of computers to cover his own ass financially, at least for awhile.
He was invited for dinner that night. The old man served goat and corn. But, the young man (partially out of fear) considered it not a good time to pry into the old man’s life.
As the young man tossed and turned on his straw bed that night, he formulated his plan to be used during breakfast.
After the crowing of the morning rooster, the two men sat across from each other at the kitchen table. A manly spread of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and toast was before the two of them. The younger man had to sip from his coffee, before he could eat, or even start on his future. The coffee tasted very funny to the younger man, as his head slammed down on the kitchen table. The thick-necked, sun-burned, redneck man, pursed his lips and blew the steam off the top of his coffee, and then he smiled.
