One might assume that he would want to be a part of the Council to help people. George Washington is a great example of this. Washington wanted to be President to help America, not to gain power and control. Equality seems to be the opposite. Helping people did cross his mind, and he addressed the Council concerning his invention: “Let us all work together, and harness the power, and make it ease the toil of all men. Let us throw away our candles and our torches. Let us flood our cities with light. Let us bring a new light to men!” in spite of this inspirational stanza, however he wants to be in a higher position. But, if the world were motivated this way,the result would be different. It would definitely be different for America, for America is a capitalist/free country. In America, the Americans do what they want to do, and make their own decisions. They don’t have to be as motivated as Equality. If Equality lived in a capitalist economy, he could already have the job that he wants. On the other hand, Equality has to impress the Council to be a part of it, but the average American only has to apply for the job. The motivation is the same with both societies, but the goal is approached
