I think that if they were to be given a second chance at some of the choices they made I think that they would make exactly the same decision because I think according to the person, what ever choice they had to decide to make was the right one even in the worst circumstances. For example when Romeo stood in between Mercutio and Tybalts fight when Tybalt had thrusted his sword in between Romeo to pierce Mercutio’s body and kill Mercutio, Romeo was filled with rage and avenged his good friend’s death by killing Tybalt. Noble, but it might not have been the right to do, to sink to Tybalt’s level and take his life for Mercutio’s. But the point is, Romeo would do it again without hesitation if he had a second chance. “Tybalt, you rat catcher, will you walk” Mercutio says to Tybalt keeping in mind that he is a skilled swordsman, but instead of standing in fear and letting Tybalt insult Romeo he attempts to defend his friend. Before Romeo goes to the tomb he goes to the apothecary to buy poison and says “Is it e'en so? Then I defy you, stars! Thou know’st my lodging. Get me ink and paper, and hire post horses. I will hence tonight.” Does this show us that fate is kicking into gear because Romeo is going to take his own life or does this show us that Romeo is defying fate because he is taking his life?
