The Role Of John Proctor A Tragic Hero In The Crucible
A tragic hero is somewhere around the lines between things like honor, commitment, and nobleness. In the crucible, John Proctor resembles just what a tragic hero is, he fulfills all the expectations a tragic hero would follow. He had a tragic flaw that follows him along the way which was Abigail, the girl he had an affair with.

John Proctor from what many have read, seems to be a pretty, respectable man. Although he has overcome what he has done, his actions has led to questioning from people who though highly of him as well as his wife Elizabeth. He did not however, have this flaw bring him down from his goal of trying to convince the town that the girls were frauds.

John Proctor performs a task no one in his town would dare
