The Role Of Social Responsibility In The Garden Party

There are many different types of people living in today's society. Responsibility is what people see other people doing which could be right or wrong. In today's time, most people in America neglect responsibilities which leads others affected in ways that may not have been anticipated. In the story (“The Garden Party”) lura shows this type of responsibility she hears about a man's death, she tries stopping the party but her stubborn rich family won’t consent to it. Showing this really benefits society but not everyone else sees it like laura does. When people contribute to society it runs better and keeps it at a balance. Having social responsibility helps individuals build positive relationship within society which is easier to operate in it gives you viability for long term success in society and the environment.
Building positive relationships within society gives long term stability in companies, and society.
"But we can't possibly have a garden-party with a man dead just outside the front gate"(Mansfield 7),. Lura sees as having the party could seem inconvenient the sounds from the party would make the women who lost her husband feel terrible. Laura seeing the party as a bad idea doesn’t see this all about her but more about other people also and how people will see her. In (“The Super Rich and Social Responsibility”) Thomas G. Plante quotes, “one could argue that billionaires may give lots of their resources to charities and other worthy causes for selfish and narcissistic reasons”(Plante 1). People do want to help and build those positive relationships by helping out and giving some wealth away while others might not want to but that’s their
decision.
Successfulness comes along way in work to help operate efficiently it’s increasingly being used to test one's overall performance, creating more relationships within society which one’s working in. Some people may see it as helping out a lot more people like Snowden saw it as telling our people that the government wasn’t doing the right thing. Not all benefits to society come in donations with money it can just be information sometimes. “Baker says Snowden "portrayed it to all of us as an act of civil disobedience in which he took responsibility for what he'd done"(Neuman 1)”. Snowden refuses to obey certain laws he had all to tell help tell others what’s been going on he is an outcast to society he helps out when no one would, giving that valuable information up. Not everyone will think of this as a good thing most people would rather not hear about what the NSA is doing and let them do it instead of causing ruckus.
Social responsibility helps create better work environments and keeps society at a steady balance, it is a position that every individual has even the ones who don't necessarily follow it. What you can conclude is without it there wouldn't be a lot of balance in today's world a lot of things would be out of place. People should understand better on what you need to accomplish and what to do right and wrong and how one little or large thing can truly change you or society
