The Screwtape Letters by C.S Lewis is good novel that was written in 1942. While reading throughout the novel, C. S Lewis has used many classic major genres to describe his characters and manipulate the patient with imagination and emotion.
Throughout the first chapter of the book, Screwtape uses allusion on page two to mention that Jesus was a pure spirit and had been a human so He had an ” abominable advantage.” In addition, Lewis uses descriptive words imagery on page three “ newsboy shouting the midday paper, and a No.73 bus going past.” At the end of chapter one, Screwtape points out that do not argue with God because He can argue too; instead, anyone needs to “fuddle” him, not “teach” him. In the beginning of
