It is used to help keep a person's blood pressure at a normal rate. Adrenaline is produced in small amounts when our bodies are subjected to stress.
However, if subjected to large amounts of stress such as a 'fight or flight' situation our emotions will also be affected. If the situation of 'fight or flight' does occur and our brain picks the fight option, it means our bodies are pumping blood at an alarming rate.
This could mean a violent retaliation and can often be described as criminal behaviour. Adrenaline also stops our brains from thinking certain things as it leads to our animal part of our brain to take charge if we pick the fight option. It also means they can often numb pain receptors meaning they don't feel any pain inflicted on them increasing the chances of criminal behaviour to be executed by the individual.
