The effects on the stolen children were mostly loneliness, the loss of identity and low self esteem. The first point is loneliness, they didn't have people like them that could speak their language or had the same skin color as them. Feeling and sometimes being different , you may be bullied. She got older and her worries were getting the best of her and were getting in the way of her life, and to add to those worries she is on dialysis and goes into the hospital and comes out weak and drained. To get her mind off of all of this she draws, it helps get to her happy place in life so she doesn't think about the worries in her life and going through dialysis.
What I have taken way from this story is that dont judge a book by it cover cause some people have it werse then you may have it cause some peole maybe adopted, others maybe runways or even the stolen ones we dont know this is why we shold not make fun or talk about other behind their back cause they could be going through these things or going threw dialysis or chemo these thing you dont joke about cause people have taken their lives or have died form being talked about or have died from the sickness they are
