The Stolen Party Theme

Have you ever felt all alone? Like no one cares about you? Well that might not always be true. This is shown in the short story “ The Stolen Party”, which is about a girl named Rosaura who get invited to a friends birthday party. Throughout this short story the author Liliana Hecker conveys a theme of “your parents will always look out for you,” through dialog, action and the characters emotions.
An example of the theme, “your parents will always look out for you”, is shown through the dialog. In this text, Rosaura's mom always looked out for her daughter, Rosaura even if she didn’t listen. A good example of this is in their conversation before the party the mom said, “ I don’t like you going.” By her saying this it shows that she’s concerned and trying to protect her daughter. A specimen from the text said, “ her mother suddenly felt worried.” Her feelings display that the mom is anxious and concerned with Rosaura.
