The Symbolism Of My Coat Of Arms
A Coat of Arms is a unique group of symbols and colors that belong to a person, family, or group of people. The pictures and symbols used on the shield are to show strengths and honor. My Coat of Arms is a shield that has a helmet at the top that is surrounded by mantling. My banner is yellow which represents generosity. The motto I chose for my shield, “never give up on your dreams”, was chosen because it is something important my mom says to me often. The colors used on a Coat of Arms are not just for appearance, but to symbolize something important. The main colors that I have used on my shield are red and blue. Red is used to represent military fortitude and magnanimity. I chose red because it means having mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty. I use this a lot while playing baseball. The blue is used to symbolize loyalty and truthfulness. Being …show more content…
The first animal I chose is a snake. The snake represents ambition which is something that I think I have a lot of. I try to be ambitious in everything that I do at school, home and in sports. The second animal I chose is a dog which represents loyalty. I have been taught to be a loyal person to myself and others. Both animals on my shield are a good representation of me. My Coat of Arms has a yellow banner at the top of it that says “Hill”. This is the last name that I was born with and every male member in my family tree has the name “Hill” for their entire life. At the top of my shield is a crest. I used a barred helmet that is reserved for members of the nobility. On each side of my shield I have chosen to use the symbol of a black cat for the mantling. The color black symbolizes constancy which is faithfulness, loyalty and dedication. The cat symbolizes liberty, vigilance and being free. All the symbols I have chosen represent characteristics that I try to live my life

What do you consider when you hear the words red, white, and blue? Do you naturally think about the flag of the United States of America? Our flag, as we probably see it today, is not the first flag with stars and stripes to be made. After the original thirteen colonies declared independence in 1776, Betsy Ross would sew the first U.S. Flag displaying the colors red, white and blue. The First Continental Congress on June 14, 1777, changed the shape of the stars from the circle pattern of the Ross design to the block shape we recognize today. Congress would give meaning to the colors of the flag in 1777. White would imply purity and innocence; red would be hardiness and valor; blue would become vigilance, perseverance…

The Coat of Arms created for El Patróns Empire, Opium, is based off of literal and metaphorical ideas. For example the entire reason for his empire was his anger that all seven of his siblings died. He believed he deserved the lives they did not get. Also Opium would be nothing without Poppies so to support my shield I used Poppy Flowers. Notice that there are seven flowers supporting the shield, each of the flowers represents a sibling he lost. The smallest flower represents the sister he had that throughout the story El Patrón said died of typhoid and was barely tall enough to see over the windowsill “no, not even on tiptoe”. The crest and crown of my shield are meant to resemble El Patrón himself. In english El Patrón means the boss, to…

The Panic of 1837 was an economic depression resulting from Andrew Jackson's economic policies, which included the refusal to renew the charter for the Second Bank of the United States. Another policy was the Coinage Act by Jackson, which required payment for public lands to be in gold and silver. The actions of Andrew Jackson resulted in the accusation of Martin Van Buren, Jackson's successor, for causing the Panic of 1837. Van Buren's refusal to involve the government in the economy was said to have stimulated the damages. Bank irresponsibility, both in causing rampant speculation and by introducing paper money inflation was also a root of the problem. This was caused by banks issuing paper money they couldn't redeem in gold or silver coin; these notes then lost value over time, so that more were needed to buy the same thing as had been bought before for less.…

The first object that I chose to represent me is my puppy Mango. Mango has been my puppy since 2011. I chose Mango as my first object because I am an animal lover and I'm obsessed with animals. But out of all the animal groups I prefer the birds, mammals, and the reptiles the most. Last summer I volunteered at a fundraiser for the animals at my nearby animal hospital. It was so much fun. Also during the beginning of the school year I took horseback riding lessons.…

What the American flag means to me. The American flag is something that I've looked at since I was 5 years old in preschool. Every day in school since then I have said the promise of loyalty with my peers to the flag with my hand on my heart. When I see a flag blowing in the wind, or when I see a crowd of people standing with their hands to their hearts while the National Anthem plays, it gives me chills. When I recite "The Pledge of Allegiance," it is more than just words to me. It is a reminder of honor to be a citizen of "the land of the free and the home of the brave."…

As people get older, the responsibilities in their lives also grow. Parents are responsible for the wellbeing of their children, managers are responsible for their employees, and students are responsible for their grades. Personal responsibilities are directly linked to each other. If a person takes responsibility for their education, they can get their degree. With a degree they can get a good job. If they are responsible at their job, they make more money and can pay their bills. If they can pay their bills, they are taking responsibility for their children as a parent by taking care of their children’s wellbeing. Even though some people can get through college without taking responsibility for their education, personal responsibility is directly related to college success because it requires taking charge of your own learning, staying organized and managing time efficiently.…
