The Three Little Pigs
Was the third little pig in the story of “The Three Little Pigs” that good of a guy? In the story of the three little pigs, a big bad wolf ate two out of the three little pigs quite easily. Then when he gets to the last pig, he has a pretty hard time catching him. The third little piggy, by using his manipulative ways, was able to avoid getting eaten by the big bad wolf, and in the end, he kills the wolf just like the wolf killed his brothers. Out of all the little piggies, the third one seems to be the most admirable because he was clever, hardworking, and creative.
To start off with, he was extremely clever, every opportunity to he had to outwit the wolf, he took advantage of. This could be clearly seen at the end of the story when the

When he built his house, he asked a man with a pile of bricks to give him some of it so he can build his house. He said “ Please, man, give me those bricks to build a house with.” He spent more time building his house then the rest of the piggies. He didn't want to use anything frail that simple wind would blow down. He built something strong and reliable
Along with all these traits, the third little piggy was very creative. When the big bad wolf tried to get the third piggy out of the house to eat him, the third piggy would always leave early and get back home in time to miss the big bad wolf. “So the little pig went off before the time, as usual...” This shows that the pig, time and time again, left his house early so that he could outsmart the wolf so that he would not be eaten. This shows that the third little piggy was very creative in his manipulative ways.
To conclude the third piggy was the most clever, hard-working, creative, and admirable; he was bold. He took his situation and made the most of it. He could have let fear strike into his heart when he heard the wolf outside his door on that first occasion, but he stood his ground and out-witted the strong, able body, terrifying wolf. Would you have been able to outsmart your predator if you were the pig? Or would you quiver in horror when that first knock came at your

The third little pig was ambitious because he got out of sight of the wolf in time to or else he would’ve been caught. The third little pig was clever because he was able to open the pot of boiling water, causing the wolf to fall in and be eaten. It seems the boys start to see Piggy as just another animal, and he is therefore killed as though that’s just what he is. The interesting thing is that the boys, because they kill Piggy, sort of become animals themselves. It’s a slippery, slidey, downward slope of atrocity. But animals aside, there’s another key point in Piggy’s death, and that is that the conch dies with him. The conch is smashed into thousands of pieces, which is about as close as an inanimate object is going to come to dying at all.…

Broken down, this shows that Piggy is a resource that the boys need to utilize, but fail to, and instead they treat him like a set-back, only because he is weak. He has a lot more to offer than just physical labor, and should be honed for using his brain to problem solve, or be inventive. It is quite obvious he was often bullied for his weight at school, due to the fact that kids…

Piggy is one of the main characters as well as one of the first characters we, the readers, meet. He is characterized by his glasses, asthma, and a level of decorum that direct decorum that any stereotypical Brit could envy. Within their community, he is seen as the voice of reason(see: direct). This makes his character particularly important as he is surrounded by other boys who would rather treat their crisis as a playground. However, this cynicism, on a deeper level, can be seen as a method of deflecting and a power play. On page 46, he looks upon the others with disdain as they rush up the mountain to start the fire. This separates him from the other boys, in case something goes wrong. And, of course, it does. Towards the end of chapter two, as the mountain is burning, Piggy scolds them for both not thinking, but also(and more importantly) not listening to him in the first place. These actions enable Piggy to pass the blame to everyone else and thus, allowing him to walk away with a free conscience even though their main hope for food just burnt and one of their own might be dead.…

Piggy is undoubtedly the most intelligent person in the group. Intelligence is a key characteristic of a good leader. If a leader is not smart and able to make good decisions then the group will not survive. Piggy displays his intelligence various times throughout the novel, one of which is during the chaotic time when the boys have recently seen "the beast." The boys believe that there is a "beast" stationed on top of the mountain, making it impossible for them to light the fire. All of the boys, aside from Piggy, give up and figure that they will never be rescued because they can't light the fire. "We've got no fire. That thing sits up there-we'll have to stay here,"(29) Ralph said, giving up hope before he even took the time to try and solve the problem. It is only Piggy who remains focused and makes the suggestion of moving the fire by the campsite."We got no fire on the mountain. But what's wrong with a fire down here? A fire could be built on them rocks. On the sand even. We'd make smoke just the same,"(29)he calmly states because "only Piggy could have the intellectual daring to suggest moving the fire from the…

He remains in solidarity, rarely speaking and gaining trust of both Jack and Ralph, who fight for the position of a leader. Simon is never aroused into violence, and manages to remain the only boy who is truly, consistently good, partly because of his nature. He remains good because his human nature is not provoked into savagery; he is simply above all the others. As for Piggy, his intellect arouses in him, a want to be heard; to spread his new and innovative ideas, instead of concealing them like Simon. Piggy represents the rational side of society, which at times makes him cold and careless of everything, except for gaining acceptance. The two represent separate parts of the deteriorating morality amongst the other boys, Piggy and Simon possess the qualities that are disregarded in the tumult of survival; Piggy is rational and intellectual, while Simon is the purity and goodness in people.…

Lastly, the third little pig is most admirable because he is clever. Throughout the whole story the third little pig tricks and deceives the wolf so he doesn’t get eaten. He is constantly outsmarting the wolf and avoiding him in extremely clever ways. “‘I will throw you down one’... And he threw it [apple] so far that, while the Wolf was gone to pick it up, the little pig jumped down and ran home”(17). As demonstrated in the text, the pig exceptional at outsmarting the wolf. Every time the wolf would invite the pig to go pick radishes, go to the fair, or in this case apple picking the pig would go an hour ahead to make sure that he didn’t run into the wolf. Then, if he ran into the pig eating animal, he would trick him by throwing an apple…
