One reason that The Tragedy Paper should be part of Four County Career Center’s junior English curriculum is because it is a nice book to read. This book is not very long and can be finished in a short amount of time. This book is easily comprehend by everyone in class. Elizabeth Laban wrote this book at a teenage comprehension level other than Shakespeare. Shakespeare's books are hard to read and teachers have to explain a lot of the words to the students. It shows us that not everyone cares about someone's looks. Tim thinks that everyone judges him for having albinism when actually no one really brings it up. He is so afraid that people will make fun of him for wearing glasses. So Tim stopped wearing his glasses and his eyesight went bad because he does not wear his glasses. He started over medicating himself because his eyesight and headaches. Tim ended up going blind because of it but everyone thought it was part of the accident that happened on the hill at the senior outing . Everyone one knew Tim was albion but no one ever said anything to him . Tim freaked out for no reason because everyone seen him as a normal person(Laban). I think that this book definitely shows that people do not always care just about people's looks.
Some people may say that is this book is not relatable because it does not pertain to everyone but, it does pertain to a vast majority of the people reading this book. Not everyone drinks at our age but many have taken drinks of alcohol.
I believe that The Tragedy Paper should be a part of the Four County Career Center junior English curriculum because it is a nice and easy book to read, it is relatable and it shows the bad side effects of being
