The printed media define as, “portable and disposable publications printed on paper and circulated as physical copies in forms we call books, newspapers, magazines and newsletters. They hold informative and entertaining content that is of general or special interest. They are published once or daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly or quarterly.” Truly, the printed media has shaped the way we learned, think and act in modern society.
Printed media gives us informative details that are suitable to our needs. It gives us a sense of immediacy in every context of it, presents static messages in every commercial ad and the ideal issues that affect directly to the citizens of nation. Printed media can be used in various ways. It can be a medium of spreading information, through this it informs and updates people of the daily news. It can be also used as advertisement because of it, businesses can advertise their products and services and for recruitment services. And lastly, it can be used as entertainment because it provides a great deal of entertainment and has seen thousands of titles appearing and focusing on various areas of interest.

The primary goal of these is to deepen our understanding of an issue, a place, a person or a group.
The use of this is important in gathering and collecting information for the students. And because of these, this research wants to find out how these printed media play an important role in the enhancement of the social awareness of the students.
